Since 1948 we have proudly been installing kitchens in Kent, and over the last few years we certainly find contemporary designs the most popular. Often deceptively simple to the eye, our modern designs are created with function in mind, not just a stylish look.
Give us a call today to learn about our contemporary kitchens, or you can even pop into our Broadstairs kitchen showroom. Our design experts will be happy to discuss our work and what we can do for you, with fantastic installations on display for you to interact with.
Once you’re ready to begin creating your new kitchen we will be with you every step of the way. Your dedicated project manager will not only help highlight the greatest trends, but also make the right choices to suit your brief and budget.
Then when your design is finalised our dedicated installation team will book in the ideal date to start work on your contemporary kitchen. We aim to minimise disruption to you throughout the process and we will also tackle work that is not just adding new units, like the removal and disposal of your old kitchen.
Every employee at AJ Ball is employed by us, no sub-contractors or cowboy builders that other organisations use. If you ever have any questions at all then our installation team will be happy to help, or if we aren’t on the job at your home your dedicated project manager is on the phone to assist you.
What Makes A Contemporary Kitchen?
While your new kitchen should be as unique to you as possible a contemporary kitchen has some common elements. When customers come into our Broadstairs kitchen showroom we often mention the following:
- Flat-panel cabinet doors – giving a clean complete look that covers the frame of the unit
- Built-in appliances – ensuring all elements of the kitchen can maintain the same level of style
- An abundance of light – often achieved with additional downlighting and under cabinet lights
- The use of neutral colours – most often white coloured cabinets that are paired with dark countertops. This helps ensure the kitchen remains timeless, even after many years of use
- Accents of stainless steel – ideal for taps and sinks this helps keep the kitchen look modern and clean. As an alternative, you could consider a matt or brushed finish but try to avoid colours as much as possible
